2021 Annual Appeal

Dear Simsbury Historical Society Member:

On behalf of the Simsbury Historical Society, thank you for your continued membership and financial support. That support has been especially critical this past year. Because of you, we remain able to preserve and celebrate Simsbury’s history, promote community pride and help envision a better future. Your support allows the SHS to continue to:

• Provide stewardship of more than a dozen structures and multiple gardens;
• Preserve artifact and manuscript collections about Simsbury’s rich history;
• Host special events and workshops to promote understanding of Simsbury’s past and present so that we can all better plan for tomorrow;
• Provide multiple opportunities for volunteer involvement;
• And much more.

This year, we have resumed hosting certain events subject to current safety protocols. The Ellsworth Visitor Center and Museum Store is again open. And we have ambitious plans for the future. For example, we have initiated an architectural study to help identify areas for growth and maintenance for which we are planning a capital campaign in early 2022.
