Scarecrow Day 2025 attracted a sellout crowd! Hundreds of adults and children enjoyed a classic New England fall day on Saturday, September 20. Visitors spread out across the Phelps Homestead front lawn and made more than 300 scarecrows creatively dressed with donated clothing and accessories.
An annual event open to the public, Scarecrow Day is the Simsbury Historical Society’s most popular community activity. It’s made possible by the support of dozens of volunteers and many local businesses. Many thanks to our dedicated volunteers, especially Ann Hall and Rob Poutasse, who organized the event.
Thank you everyone who attended the event! We had the most enjoyable day and can’t wait to see you again next year. We are grateful for the generous support of this year’s business sponsors.
